Launching the “No Plastic Bag Week”

Attending the ceremony were Standing Member of Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee Phan Thien Dinh, together with leaders of departments, agencies, and businesses in the area.

The project “Hue – A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam” is implemented with the funding from WWF-Norway through WWF-Vietnam and received by Hue City People’s Committee has carried out various solutions to reduce plastic wastes, including reducing, recycling through encouraging to reduce the use of plastic bags and single-use plastic products, and at the same time, building up the habit of bringing belongings when going shopping.

The event “No Plastic Bag Week” is implemented at Dong Ba Market, contributing to raising the awareness of consumers on reducing the use of plastic bags, making it the first step in building the movement of No Plastic Bag Day/Week in Hue City.

On this occasion, the units introduced the model of eco-friendly stalls at Dong Ba Market and awarded certificates to 19 eco-friendly stalls.
