Over 1.000 runners participate in the Half Marathon “Huong xua lang co - the Footsteps of Happiness”

The marathon attracts the participation of over 1.000 runners

Over 1.000 runners from various cities and provinces nationwide participated in the marathon, competing in 3 running distances including 21km, 10km, and 5km.

The running routes mainly were in Phuoc Tich ancient village, by the gentle and poetic O Lau River. Furthermore, there were also running routes along the area of Phong Hoa commune, offering runners and tourists new and exciting experiences.

This is the second time that Phong Dien district organized this marathon, with the desire to spread and push up promoting tourism, as well as introducing the image of the land of Phong Dien and the gentle, friendly, hospitable local people to domestic and international friends.

Through this marathon, the organizing board aims to honor the heritage values of Phuoc Tich ancient village; turning this marathon into a playground for meeting and connection among different classes of people, between runners with officers, cadres, students, and workers all over the country.

The Half Marathon “Huong xua lang co – The Footsteps of Happiness” is also an activity to continue promoting the movement “All people do exercises following the great example of Uncle Ho”, raising the spirit of regular physical training in the community; creating the driven to develop the sports pursuit in the commune’s area, as well as honoring the spirit of the exercise, contributing to the improvement of community health.

It’s known that Phuoc Tich ancient village is one of the 4 ancient villages that are recognized as national heritage villages by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. After 14 years of recognition and ranking, Phuoc Tich ancient village has always affirmed its values and its brand name as a unique “Artistic and Architectural Heritage” that is unparalleled all over the country.
