Performing free surgery for patients having cleft lip and cleft palate

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of February 8, Hue University Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital called for the registration of a free surgery program for patients with cleft lip, cleft palate, and craniofacial defects.

According to a representative of Hue University Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, within the framework of cooperation with Global Care Organization, Korea, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital is expected to collaborate with a delegation of experts, including leading professors and doctors in the field of plastic surgery to organize a free plastic surgery program for patients with cleft lip, cleft palate, and craniofacial defects.

The team will conduct screening from February 23 to March 4, 2023, then perform surgery from March 5 to March 11, 2023.

According to Dr. Le Hong Phuc, Head of Plastic and Reconstrutive Surgery Unit, Department of Orthopedic - Thoracic Surgery, Hue University Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, patients wishing to come for examination and consultation are welcome. Global Care, Korea, in collaboration with the Plastic and Reconstructive Unit of the University Hospital, has offered free surgeries for more than 100 patients with cleft lip and palate over the years.

This time, a delegation of 15 experts from 7 leading medical universities and hospitals in Korea will coordinate with the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit, Department of Orthopedic and Thoracic Surgery, Hue University Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital to examine, consult and perform surgery for patients.
