Stay healthy and beautiful this Tet holiday
TTH.VN - That was the theme of a talk hosted by Dr. Mai Hang, a natural nutritionist, at Silent Space (32 Tay Son, Hue City) on November 23rd. The event was part of the “Lunch and Learn - Learn, Have lunch, and Connect together” program.

At the show, Dr. Mai Hang shared five key principles for creating delicious meals that promote health and beauty. They include fresh and clean ingredients with a variety of colors, as each of the vegetables provides different vitamins and nutrients; simple meals that can be prepared by all family members, not just the primary cook; portion sizes based on each individual's height and weight; chlorophyll (green leafy vegetables) to help detoxify the body; and raw fiber to help cleanse it.

In addition to these five principles, Dr. Mai Hang emphasized the importance of tailoring meals to individual factors such as age, height, and weight to get health and beauty. Fruits and salads should be prioritized over excessive amounts of meat, fish, or shrimp... Fruits not only provide essential vitamins but also contain significant amounts of protein and carbohydrates. In contrast, cooked meat and seafood reduce their protein quality, converting it into “dead protein" that, when overcooked, can produce cancer-causing acids.
Dr. Mai Hang concluded by highlighting three essential practices for maintaining a healthy and beautiful body: Fostering mental tranquility, practicing nutritious diet anytime, anywhere, and incorporating movement throughout daily life.
