Students equipped with digital skills and Internet safety

TTH.VN - On November 11, the Internet safety and Digital skills Experience Day for students in Thua Thien Hue was organized by Vietnet Information Technology and Communication Center (Vietnet - ITC), Meta Corporation in collaboration with the provincial Research and Development Institute.

Attending the program were leaders of Meta Group in Asia - Pacific region, together with teachers and students of secondary schools and high schools in Hue city.

We Think Digital is an online safety and digital skills training program for Vietnamese students, launched in 2019 and sponsored by Meta Corporation (formerly Facebook). This is one of the important programs of Meta in Vietnam, launched in 2020.

Through cooperation with experts in the Asia-Pacific region, the program provides learning and training resources for students to equip them with the necessary digital skills to participate in the online world in a positive and safe manner. 

After 3 years of implementation, the program has organized face-to-face and online training for more than 3,500 teachers and reached more than 580,000 students. In Thua Thien Hue, the program implemented many training courses for more than 100 teachers and 3,000 students in Hue city.

The Internet safety and Digital skills Experience Day helps students raise awareness and equip themselves with digital skills such as critical thinking, respect in communication, and distinguishing between real and fake news in cyberspace.
