An interesting thing is that audiences do not need to "prepare" knowledge of contemporary art before entering the Sốnglab space. Contrary to the academic language of art, visual projection art is quite easy to understand and approach. This is consistent with the trend of enjoying art among young people, especially generation Z.
Mr. Duong Do, the founder and implementation director of the Sốnglab digital art space, said: “The biggest goal of this space is to create opportunities for people to come into contact with contemporary art, along with advanced technologies in the world, from which they will gradually improve their aesthetic abilities.”
“It is not necessary for the experiencers to understand contemporary art. This is simply a space combining technology, entertainment, education, culture, and art. People, who see fine works and want to take some photos, will satisfy their entertainment needs. People, who learn new things, different from their existing thoughts, will satisfy their educational needs. People at higher levels will immerse themselves in an atmosphere inspired by heritage and culture, etc. Each person will have his/her own way to experience Sốnglab based on their needs," added Mr. Duong Do.
Technically, the project cooperates with the leading 3D mapping projection equipment supplier in the Southeast Asia. The space includes five separate rooms, featuring groups of works that are displayed with many different effects. Some works only need to be enjoyed via moving images on the screen, some others combined flat screens with installation blocks, some works keep audiences "immersed" into a large and multi-layered space, while there are works giving audiences the impression when being reflected in the mirror; and there are also works bringing a "coast" of interactive digital graphics to audiences in every step…
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, a visitor, shared: "On the occasion of Vietnam Women's Day (October 20), the whole family decided to come here for entertainment, as well as enjoy the works of art at the Sốnglab. This is a completely new and quite interesting place, which is suitable for art lovers and creative enthusiasts, bringing new experiences to visitors."
