Ms Thu Huyen's family (Phong Dien) took advantage of the early morning to come to Hue to check in at the heritage site. "The weather is very nice. We arrived here at 6:30, waiting for the Imperial Citadel to open. We didn't expect that coming early would still be so crowded with tourists."

By 7:30 a.m., parking spaces for cars and motorbikes at the two parking lots Nam Xuong and Nam Thang inside the Ngan Gate area were gradually filled. On this occasion, besides the tourists who booked tours from various places to Hue, the Hue Imperial Citadel also welcomed many groups of family and friends traveling to Hue.

At 8 a.m., right in front of the Noon Gate (Ngo Mon), the changing of the guard ceremony took place, attracting thousands of tourists to stop and watch. Mr Le Van Hung, from Soc Trang, was delighted to witness and experience the unique changing of the guard ceremony for the first time while visiting the Hue heritage site.

Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that on September 2, according to the resolution of the Provincial People's Council, heritage sites within the Complex of Hue Monuments would be open for free to all citizens and tourists who are Vietnamese nationals. This is also an opportunity for Hue ancient capital to introduce the heritage sites to a broad audience of visitors and locals. From 7 a.m., Hue Imperial Citadel was bustling with tourists, creating a lively atmosphere.

On this occasion, Hue Monuments Conservation Center organized activities, such as the changing of the guard ceremony, art performances at Duyet Thi Duong Theater, and various services and experiential games in the heritage areas. Previously, Hue Monuments Conservation Center had planned to enhance services and strengthen security forces to ensure public order and environmental sanitation for the National Day celebration on September 2 to best welcome visitors.
