One of the important components of building and developing e-Government is the LGSP data sharing and integration platform (Local Government Service Platform). The goal of the National Committee on e-Government is that 100% of ministries, branches and localities must have this platform and connect with the national data integration and sharing platform by the end of 2020.
As of the end of July 2020, nearly 83% of ministries, sectors and localities have completed the implementation of this platform, increased over threefold compared to 2019.
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stated that e-Government building was a big issue, a new and pressing one to develop the country. Over the past time, this work has achieved a number of progresses, such as Vietnam's e-Government development index moved up two places.
However, there are still many shortcomings; therefore, it is necessary to regularly inspect, urge and propose new policies and measures so as to solve them and promote the e-Government in Vietnam. The Prime Minister asked ministries, branches and localities to have specific roadmaps to continue building strategies on e-Government building. The units need to focus on completing institutions, as this is an important stage, and must always go first to form the e-Government.
