Thua Thien Hue Smart City Monitoring and Control Center officially put into operation

TTH.VN - On the morning of December 27, the Provincial Department of Information and Communication held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the establishment of the Smart City Monitoring and Control Center and the appointment of the Director of the Smart City Monitoring and Control Center. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho attended and delivered the Decision.

The Smart City Monitoring and Control Center of Thua Thien Hue province is established on the basis of combining the Center for Information Technology and Communication and the Electronic Data and Digital Information Center under the Decision No. 3010/QD-UBND on December 26, 2018.

The Smart City Monitoring and Control Center is a public non-business unit under the Provincial Department of Information and Communication, performing non-business duties in the fields of information technology and communication, providing solutions, services, and applications in the fields of information technology, communication and smart urban services. Mr. Nguyen Duong Anh, Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Information Technology is appointed the Director of the Smart City Monitoring and Control Center.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony of the Decision, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho congratulated the Smart City Monitoring and Control Center on being officially put into operation. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee recommended that after the official operation, the Center would promote its main functions of monitoring, controlling and synthesizing so as to meet the needs of the province's smart urban administration in the future, aiming to build a government that better served the people.

The Smart City Monitoring and Control Center is established with the targets of supervising and handling traffic issues; supervising and managing images serving the sanctioning administrative violations via images; managing public transport; monitoring the security, order and safety situation in central areas, key areas, and relics; receiving feedback and assessment of the public administrative service quality and making decisions on the provision of public administrative services; and receiving, supporting, answering, and advising visitors about their problems when traveling in the province area, etc.
