Western Quarter - pedestrian streets after a month into operation

TTH.VN - It has been one month since the Pham Ngu Lao - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau Streets in the Western Quarter (Hue City) became pedestrian streets on three weekend evenings.

The 1km-long walking space has gradually become more exciting, with more guests coming to enjoy the atmosphere and to shop. Music nights in the middle of the intersections partly create an interesting outdoor art destination.

Pham Ngu Lao - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau pedestrian streets after a month of opening were always crowded with visitors

Thua Thien Hue Online has returned to Pham Ngu Lao  - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau pedestrian streets exactly one month after its opening (29/9). From the paths leading to the pedestrian streets, we could see tourists and local people strolling on the clean streets.

Going further into the streets, visitors met different entertainment spots, like walking in a busy neighborhood. There were people shopping, eating and taking pictures... All of this help created a lively night walking quarter.

Rare images of the little children having fun running around in the middle of the street now appear in this space. In addition to dining and shopping, the destinations which were always crowded were the major attractions at intersections - where the streets meet each other, when the street music began. Some guitars, drum sets, and small speakers created a mini stage in the middle of the city. "How wonderful! This is the destination that I have been eager to go all week. It's because it allows me to be immersed in a comfortable space to enjoy and to sing," Nguyen Quynh Tien (22 years old, Hue City) said quickly above the music.

In some other corners, street art attracted visitors. The tip boxes for visitors to support the artists were placed in a small corner, very delicate and very polite. The guests were satisfied. They can give money to support as they wish. The performers were always enthusiastic with the audience.

No more blatant driving on the street, instead, tourists or people living in the streets gently push the motorbikes out in an orderly fashion. Besides the fun images, we could see the dear faces of the laborers and security guards, quietly cleaning the neighborhood and keeping it in order. The issue of parking fee outside of the walking quarters was managed strictly, avoiding over-priced fees.

According to the Management Board of the Pham Ngu Lao - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau pedestrian streets, up until now, the guests on the three nights weekend have always been crowded, with about 3,000 to 5,000 visitors per night. As a result, food service and shopping services have also increased.

Pham Ngu Lao - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau pedestrian streets one month into operation are documented by Thua Thien Hue Online:

A bar on a walking street attracts mainly foreigners. Of course, always bustling.

The walking streets are always kept clean. Many young children enjoy playing in the streets.

In addition to dining and shopping, the destinations which were always crowded were the major attractions at intersections - where the streets meet each other, when the street music began.

In addition, living statues always attract many people.
