TTH.VN - On Jan 4 afternoon, the Project “Building sustainable development and climate change resilience for Tam Giang Lagoon communities” organized the evaluation workshop of agriculture and aquaculture models carried out by the local families. Although being impacted by the recent Typhoon No.12, and there are still rooms for improvement, the models initially give some prospects.

With a total of nearly 1,200 ha of water surface area, and 960 ha of agriculture land area, Quang Loi has good potentials to thrive. However, alike many coastal areas of Vietnam, the commune has been facing severe challenges of climate change, and poverty alleviation in combination with sustainable development. The locality therefore is under pressure to seek for new and effective models of cultivation and utilize resources integratedly.
