Hai Van Gate receives the National Monument Rank Certificate
TTH.VN - On the afternoon of May 24th, the two Departments of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city jointly held a ceremony to announce the Decision and to award the National Monument Rank Certificate to Hai Van Gate.
Representatives set the landmark to protect Hai Van Gate
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dang Thi Bich Lien said that after Hai Van Gate was classified as a National Monument (Decision 1531 / QD-BVHTTDL dated 14/4/2017) on 26/4/2017, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a written request that Thua Thien Hue provincial People's Committee and Da Nang People's Committee direct functional agencies to collaborate on the development of regulations on management, exploitation, protection and promotion of the monumental value, and to propose a project to renovate this monument. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism applauded the two localities for taking the initiative in implementation and promulgation of guidance documents, proposals for coordination, assignment of management, planning renovation and embellishment of the monument right after it was ranked.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dung said that Hai Van Gate contains many cultural and historical values. Thua Thien Hue will direct the provincial agencies and functional units to continue closely collaborating with Da Nang to regularly propagand and introduce the monument on the mass media; to advise and propose the elaboration and promulgation of the Regulation on the management, protection, promotion and exploitation of the monument; performing the restoration work synchronously and efficiently.
At the ceremony of receiving the Hai Van Gate National Monument Rank Certificate, representatives of leaders of the two provinces and cities signed a Memorandum of Understanding on collaborative implementation of the conservation and promotion of the monument; afterwards, the Delegates set the protection landmark for Hai Van Gate.
