Planting lotus at the tomb of King Thieu Tri
After nearly a month of implementation, the lakes at the tomb of King Thieu Tri, at Phu Luong A (Quang Dien) and Ngu Ha - the sections on the two sides of An Hoa gate, were planted with thousands of Hue lotus root.
“Replacing water-fern and water spinach, by covering empty lakes with lotus can beautify the landscape. On the other hand, it aims to enhance the brand of Hue lotus by exploiting products fromlotus, such as lotus tea, lotus seed, lotus embryo... ,” said Ms. Pham Thi Dieu Huyen, Director of Moc Truly Hue's - the enterprise implementing this project.
According to Ms. Dieu Huyen, when the lotus is in its blooming season, in addition to enjoying the beauty of the lotus lake, through the products with the typical flavor of Hue lotus integrated with the stories, visitors will know more about the cuisine, culture and history ... of the ancient capital.
Hue lotus products, such as lotus seeds, lotus embryo, lotus tea ... are very popular. Unfortunately, Hue lotus is exploited in only one season per year, so it does not achieve the desired effect in promoting its image and brand name.
Overcoming this limitation, Moc Truly Hue's applies the freeze-drying food method - one of the most advanced technologies in processing food after harvesting so that the products from Hue lotus can appear in all 4 seasons.
