TTH.VN - After researching on soil, climate, and seed conditions, Khang Han Trading and Service Co., Ltd. has planted golden pear-shaped melon variety under the technique of growing it in net houses on the area of 3.000m2 in Huong An Ward (Huong Tra District).

After around 2 months of fully planting and cultivation with biological products, the golden pear-shaped melon garden in Hương An Ward has fruited the bright yellow and succulent fruits. On average, each fruit reaches from 1.5 to 2kg and costs around 35.000 VND to 40.000 VND per kilogram, bringing a good source of income for pear-shaped melon growers.

With its adaptability and can be grown all year round, but giving the best yield in the spring–summer crop, the model of planting golden pear-shaped melons can be applied on some agricultural areas in the provincial area. Furthermore, due to its great nutrition for health and bringing high economic value, golden pear-shaped melons can take the place of some crop plants with low productivity.

To imagine the way that a new kind of fruit is planted on the Hue land, Thua Thien Hue Weekly would like to introduce you the process and techniques of planting golden pear-shaped melons in Huong An Ward through the series of photos taken by Nguyen Khoa Huy, a photographer.
