After many years of preparation, the restoration of Thai Hoa Palace (Palace of Supreme Harmony) has just begun by Hue Monuments Conservation Center. This has been so far the biggest restoration which succeeds the results of the previous restorations (from 1833 – 1945).

"The fact that the National Assembly's permission to establish Hue Heritage Conservation Fund is good news for the Complex of Hue Monuments since there will be more resources to serve the restoration and preservation of the heritage.” This is the statement made by the Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center – Mr. Hoang Viet Trung – when having an exchange with Thua Thien Hue Weekly.

On the morning of December 27, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology established a consulting conference to assign the Center for Flowers and Ornamentals Research and Development, the Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute to carry out a scientific thesis at provincial level on “Research on Conservation and development of Hue’s yellow apricot blossom (Hue royal apricot)".

In order for yellow apricots to bloom in time to welcome Tet, in these days, Hue Green Park Center is mobilizing human and material resources to pick leaves off apricot trees in the gardens along Le Duan Street and in front of the Hue Imperial Citadel.

On the morning of December 19, Hue Monuments Conservation Center cooperated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City to hold the groundbreaking ceremony of the project of preserving, restoring and promoting the values of Hai Van Gate relic complex.
