In the New Year of the Tiger, Mr. Tran Thanh Quang (Hue City) meticulously cut a tiger shape from green papaya and potato to make a five-tiger jam for guests.

Tigers or leopards, panthers, etc., are ferocious land animals that can also climb trees and swim in rivers and streams. The ancient people feared and worshiped the tiger as "the lord of the jungle", "ong ba muoi”, the tiger god. Of the 12 zodiac animals, the Tiger ranks third in the land animal category.
