On the morning of March 29th, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in collaboration with Hue’s Fisheries Sub-department, organized the release of 160 thousand endemic fish into the Huong River to restore the aquatic resources of this waterway.

Mr. Duong Duc Hoai Khanh, Director of the Provincial Irrigation Work Exploitation and Management One Member Limited Company said that 63 thousands of fish fingerlings including carps, snakeheads, and crucian carps were released into Truoi Lake for the purpose of supplementing aquatic resources in this huge reservoir.

On May 21, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a ceremony of releasing fish to regenerate aquatic resources in the Huong River. Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh and Director of International Organization for Conservation of Nature of Norway Karoline Andaur.
