The People's Committee of the province has issued an official document to the Prime Minister on proposing the approval of the policy of allowing socialization to repatriate the “Hoàng đế chi bảo” (the Emperor’s treasure) seal. This seal has been publicly auctioned by Millon Auction House in France on its website and has grabbed the attention of antique researchers and collectors.

The exhibition "Ancient ao dai of the Nguyen Dynasty", in a collection of Prof. Dr. Thai Kim Lan, was opened on the morning of November 6 in Lan Vien Co Tich space - Huong River Museum of Antique Pottery (at 120 Nguyen Phuc Nguyen Street, Hue City).

The collection and digitization of Han-Nom (Sino-Demotic characters) documentary heritage has been carried out for many years in many clans, private residences, villages and communes throughout the province. The treasure of the Nguyen Dynasty is a gold seal cast in 1823 during the reign of King Minh Mang (1820 - 1841) being prepared for auction by an auction company headquartered in France. This information amazes not only the circles of culture, research, and antique collection but also draws special attention from the public because this is prime historical evidence for the history of Vietnam.

Thousands of artifacts including Buddhist woodblocks, books related to philosophy, literature, Buddhism as well as disciplines related to a humane society, and recordings of Hue Buddhist events... which have been carefully collected by and donated to the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Hue for many years are officially announced for the first time, surprising the public.

Along with the public museum system, there are also privately-owned museums in Thua Thien Hue, where a variety of artifacts and antiques are introduced to the public. They are results from the research and collection process of the collectors.

Hue Fine Arts Museum has just received a collection of precious artifacts related to traditional folk art from Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa, a collector and researcher, and Mr. Nam Chi, a folk painting artist.

“Since before 2020, in Hue, despite the large number of private collections, not many non-public museums have been formed and operated. That was also why I was attached to those private collections, spent time giving support and professional advice in the process of finalizing scientific files, procedures to apply for permits for non-public museum operation.”

In 1814, Emperor Gia Long ordered the digging of An Cuu River, which was a narrow tributary at that time, as well as the construction of dams with the purpose of collecting water for irrigation and desalination of tens of thousands of acres of fields in the downstream area.
