A journey of 200 years, from the name “Thua Thien” to “Thua Thien Hue” as is known today, was the topic of a scientific conference organized by the Provincial Historical Science Association on the morning of September 27 with the participation of many experts and researchers.

The delegation of Thua Thien Hue province is on a business trip to France to learn about the exhibition of artworks of Emperor Ham Nghi, combined with searching for relevant historical documents in France.

After having gone through 13 king reigns, the Nguyen Dynasty left to Hue heritage a huge volume of mausoleums and royal tombs, many of which bring unique historical, architectural, and cultural values such as Gia Long, Minh Mang, Tu Duc, and Khai Dinh royal tombs, etc. This is one of the factors helping Hue to be always attractive to tourists.

"75 years - Full of love" was the name of a photo exhibition on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27), organized by the Provincial Museum of History for two days July 27th and 28th at Chin Ham - the Nine Bunkers historical site (located in An Tay ward of Hue city).

The relic site of Nguyen Tri Phuong and the prince consort Nguyen Lam’s tombs is located in Dai Phu Village, Phong Chuong Commune (Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province). From the center of Hue City, visitors can go along Highway 1A northward 30km to Phong Dien Town, Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province; and then turn right along the Provincial Road 6 about 15km.

Gia Hoi - Dinh market ancient urban area is a unique heritage, bearing elements of the cultural structure of an ancient urban area. It is existing in a constantly changing residential community. Due to both the pressure of modern urbanization and the lack of appropriate conservation and development planning, this area has gradually been deformed. This leads to the destruction of the historical and cultural architectural space of this area, and the cultural tourism resources are being wasted.

The Provincial People's Committee just held a ceremony to announce the decision and receive the certificate of special national historical relic site for President Ho Chi Minh's memorial complex in Thua Thien Hue.
