On the morning of August 25, on the routes around the Hue Imperial Citadel, Hue City People’s Committee held an event to launch a pilot bike route every Sunday morning. The event had the participation of Hue City leaders, along with hundreds of cadres and locals.

The live broadcast of the final round of the 24th “Road to Mount Olympia” (with Vietnamese title being “Duong len dinh Olympia”) will take place on October 13, 2024 in Hue.

At the 2024 International Dance Festival, Vietnamese art troupes have achieved outstanding success through performance programs and independent dance works. Just about 30 kilometers away, Quang Loi Lagoon is not far from the center of Hue City. It's located in Quang Loi Commune, Quang Dien District - a low-lying area rich in cultural identity. Covering approximately 800 hectares, the lagoon is part of the Tam Giang lagoon system. Following the flow of the waters, the lives of the people here are closely tied to the water as they engage in simple and humble fishing activities.

Thua Thien Hue, with a coastline stretching 120 km, is vulnerable to typhoons and storm surges from the East Sea. Throughout history, Hue has endured severe storms, floods, and droughts, which have had significant impacts on human life, architectural structures, and the natural environment.

Hue has many outstanding fields to join UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). This not only promotes local cultural identity to the world but also provides an opportunity to attract tourists and investors to Hue. However, choosing which field to highlight the uniqueness of Hue when participating in UCCN is something that needs careful consideration.

This was the focus of a training conference organized by the Natural Resources and Environmental Communication Center (under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications of Dak Lak Province. The event was held for journalists, editors, and leaders from related organizations in the Central - Central Highlands region on August 15 in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak.

That was our dreamlike headline - nearly 20 years ago when we first learned about Amsterdam, a famous city in the Netherlands with the highest rate of cyclists globally. But now, the dream of Hue having 1 million bicycles – even if just a symbolic number – is gradually becoming a reality.
