Within 2 days of September 11 - 12, a famtrip delegation including 25 travel agencies, tourism promotion agencies, the press and media in Thailand came to Hue to survey, visit and experience tourism services.

On August 19, the production team of the Korean Broadcasting System KBS carried out the practical survey in Thua Thien Hue, through the selection of space, location, filming ideas, and research to learn about Vietnamese culture and cuisine.

To promote the value of President Ho Chi Minh's relics in Thua Thien Hue, on July 28, Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue organized a survey trip to build a new tour themed "Reliving Uncle Ho’s youth in Hue.”

Although the project implementation has just been in the survey phase, the "Local Capacity Development" (LCD) project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is considered an opportunity for Thua Thien Hue to improve local capacity as well as orientation in community support.

According to the recent survey result, the main tourist flux to Hue in this period of recovery is from the North. Being proactive in connecting and supplying better products are the tasks offered to the tourism sector of Hue Ancient Capital.

On the morning of June 18, the Department of Tourism coordinated with relevant units to welcome the Malaysian famtrip delegation to survey tourist attractions in Hue.

On May 21, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu; Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong received Mr. Marc E. Knapper, the U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam; Ms. Marie C. Damour, Consul General of the US in Ho Chi Minh city; Ms. Monica Damberg – Ott, Cultural Attaché of the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam; together with cultural assistants and receptionists of the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh city on the occasion of their visit and work in Thua Thien Hue.

Agreeing to open a direct flight, Thai businesses have come to Hue to survey and connect a new tour. Soon, this line of traditional visitors will return to the ancient capital to travel.

On the afternoon of April 4, the Thailand famtrip delegation came to Hue to visit and survey tourist attractions, proceeding to build new tours to bring guests to the Ancient Capital in the coming time.

This activity was implemented on the morning of March 23 by the leaders of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam and the People's Committee of Hue City. Chairman of Hue City’s People's Committee Vo Le Nhat chaired the meeting, with the attendance of Ms. Yoo Sooyeon, Deputy Director of KOICA in Hanoi and project management consulting units.
