Hue’s Western Quarter, including three main streets of Pham Ngu Lao, Chu Van An, and Vo Thi Sau, is a favorite stopover for many domestic and foreign visitors, especially at the end of the day, and the weekends.

Not similar to the “Western Street” (the Pham Ngu Lao - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau Walking Street) and Hue Imperial City Night Street, Hai Ba Trung Walking Street is expected to be a bustling shopping street, serving the needs of nightlife entertainment for the locals and visitors, which is also a venue of cultural, artistic and street music activities.

On the afternoon of January 7, the People's Committee of An Dong Ward, Hue City held the opening ceremony of the program " Tet of Unity ", the contests of making banh chung, banh tet, and traditional crystallized ginger in 2023 at Dang Van Ngu Secondary School.

Every year, before the rainy season, people in “aquaculture barns” such as Chuon lagoon, coastal communes of Phu Vang, Phu Loc, Phong Dien, Huong Tra, Hue city regularly inspects their ponds and cages to harvest fish and shrimp to avoid damage caused by storms and floods.

Annually, in the middle of the seventh month of lunar calendar, the descendants working from far away gather in the communal house of An Truyen (Chuon Village), Phu An Commune (Phu Vang District) for the Autumn offering ceremony.

After more than 2 years of temporarily closing the Pham Ngu Lao - Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau Pedestrian Street (abbreviated to Pedestrian Street), since early May 2022, Hue City has restarted nightlife activities and invested in infrastructure in preparation for the opening of food and shopping streets in order to satisfy the entertainment needs of residents and tourists.

Many people seems to be too familiar with kình fish pancakes at Chuon village market (Phu An Commune, Phu Vang). However, one who ever set foot in there definitely knows that Chuon market has many other delicious dishes, which should not be missed.
