These are 6 of 121 Vietnamese culinary dishes that have just been honored by the Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association (VCCA) as typical national dishes in phase I of a project titled "Building and Developing Vietnamese Culinary Culture into a National Brand Name”. All of these 6 dishes, including: Hue beef noodle soup, glutinous rice dumplings stuffed with roasted pork in sweet soup, mussel rice, banh loc (glutinous rice dumplings), vegetarian fig salad, and lotus-leaf-wrapped steamed rice; all are close to the gardens and paddy fields of the land.

Restoration of persimmon gardens

After a period of mass destruction due to poor quality, now, persimmon gardens are being restored in A Luoi (a mountainous district located to the southwest and 70km from Hue city) in the direction of breeding valuable varieties. The locality is implementing improved grafting of acrid persimmon trees to popular persimmons in order to develop plants with high economic potential.

Within the framework of Hue Festival 2022 activities, on the morning of June 20, Hue Monuments Conservation Center opened the exhibition of ornamental plants and orchids of three regions in 2022 at Thieu Phuong, Co Ha gardens, and Imperial Domestic Affair Department – Hue Imperial Citadel. Attending the opening of the exhibition was Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho.
