Music tourism has become a popular and growing type of tourism in many European and Asian countries. In Vietnam, the trend of enjoying music combined with tourism is gradually being embraced by the public, and Hue has taken many moves to develop this type of tourism.

Thua Thien Hue has preserved many craft villages and handed down many unique traditional crafts. With abundant cultural tourism resources and natural tourism assets, it can combine them with craft and traditional village tourism. This provides a foundation for the Ancient Capital to develop a tourism model that complements its strengths in cultural and heritage tourism.

Despite its abundant potential, river tourism in Hue remains underdeveloped, lagging behind its available natural resources. The lack of services, transport infrastructure, and collaboration in river tourism development have all posed significant barriers, preventing this sector from thriving.

In 2025, Thua Thien Hue is selected to host the National Tourism Year. This is an opportunity for the tourism of the Ancient Capital to make connections and to show all of its potentials and strengths, contributing to developing its tourism and making it the main economic sector of the province.

On October 30, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, had a courtesy meeting and discussion with Ms. Alexandra Elizabeth Smith, Consul General of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Vietnam. The art of making reliefs appeared in Hue thousands of years ago. It flourished brilliantly in the 17th century along with copper casting and Hue porcelain mosaics on the complex of relics in Hue ancient capital. In the 21st century, painters and skillful artisans in Hue contributed to the development of the art.

The Digital Transformation Week - Hue 2024, themed “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Accelerating Socio-Economic Development,” is expected to present solutions for digital transformation (DT) utilizing AI, contributing to the advancement of the digital society and digital economy. Mr. Nguyen Duong Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, shared insights about this important initiative with Thua Thien Hue Weekly.

In Doi village (Thuong Lo Commune, Nam Dong District), there is a special man who quietly and diligently preserves and promotes the traditional values of the Cơ Tu ethnic group. This man is Pơloong Chướch, a senior artisan who has dedicated his entire life to the craft of weaving.

With an excellent performance in the final match of the Road to Olympia, Vo Quang Phu Duc, a 12th grade student of Specialized Math Class No. 1 at Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, brought the laurel wreath back to his hometown, becoming the third one of the school to become the champion after Ho Ngoc Han (in 2009) and Ho Dac Thanh Chuong (in 2016). May 2024 is also the 15th anniversary of Lang Co Bay being honored as the world's most beautiful bay. Over the past 15 years, with its brand, Lang Co has gradually attracted a large number of tourists to visit and relax, contributing to the province's tourism development.

It is important to build a fund to assist Hue tourism sector in having more resources to develop and promote the destination more efficiently.
