6 dishes of Hue praised as typical Vietnamese dishes

On the afternoon of October 28th, Hue Tourism College, in collaboration with Cholimex Foods, held the fifth season of the “Search for Hue Culinary Ambassadors” competition, themed “Hue cuisine - Convergence of essence,” for the year 2024.

I had a few close friends when I was a university student in Hue. After graduating from university, I am the only one who live in Hue while each of them works in a different place.

In addition to the story of 9,000 sets of Bun Bo Hue - Hue Beef Noodle, put on the menu for students in Saijo (Japan), there are Vietnamese people who have quietly brought this dish to the land of Phu Tang from meals for invited guests to special dishes in the restaurant system.

In an interview on the topic of cuisine, the late Professor Tran Van Khe said the words that I always remember: "Behind every dish is the shadow of the home country".

Hue cuisine is a heritage created by predecessors. In order to inherit and promote the righteous, proper and consistent value, it is necessary to build typical menus with specific criteria of the culinary lines.
