Building and promoting the brand of wellness tourism in Ancient Capital

TTH.VN - As a part of a series of activities and events of the Winter Festival within the Four Season Festival - Hue Festival 2023, on the evening of December 15th, the Department of Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the “Wellness Tourism Week” event. Attending the opening ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The highlight of Wellness Tourism Week includes activities introducing health-related products such as nutrition cuisine, meditation and tea; spa services and medical check-ups, health consultations in both traditional and modern forms (free of charge for visitors and local residents paying a visit); and an exhibition of health care products taking place from the evening of December 15th to the end of December 17th for local residents and both domestic and foreign tourists. Additionally, there are activities for Famtrip delegations to survey and experience tourism products combined with healthcare for tourist groups from inside and outside the province.

There are also presentations and demonstrations of yoga, meditation, and therapeutic dance; a talk show on nutrition - introducing healthy immune-boosting meals; a talk show and demonstration of the traditional Hue’s tea art; and a talk show on “Traditional Medicine and Disease Treatment using Royal Methods" presented by artists and experts in the field.

“Wellness Tourism Week” program aims to build and promote the brand of wellness tourism in Hue with practical values, and distinctive, unique, qualitative wellness products with national, regional, and international competitiveness. It seeks to affirm Thua Thien Hue as an attractive destination based on core brand values such as cultural heritage tourism, lagoon tourism, culinary tourism, and eco-tourism, linked with new unique products - wellness tourism (resort and medical tourism). Additionally, the event provides tourists with the opportunity to experience the diversity of wellness tourism products in Hue, contributing to extending the length of stay, increasing spending, and attracting tourists to return to the region with various unique experiences.

“Wellness Tourism Week” also presents a great opportunity for tourism service businesses to introduce their products and collaborate with various economic components to create special wellness tourism products for Thua Thien Hue province, elevating wellness tourism in Hue to a new, larger, more professional, and effective level.
