The program was organized by the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue in collaboration with the Department of Tourism of Da Nang, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, and a number of businesses. The Philippine famtrip delegation consisted of 39 members, representing 35 travel businesses from the Philippines, to survey tourist destinations in the Central region of Vietnam.

In Thua Thien Hue, on May 15, the famtrip delegation visited and surveyed a number of tourist destinations, including: Hue Imperial Citadel, Emperor Khai Dinh's Mausoleum, and Thien Mu Pagoda. The delegation also experienced a boat trip on the Huong River, enjoyed Hue cuisine, and visited Dong Ba Market.

This is an opportunity for the province's tourism industry to step up the promotion and advertisement of the locality's unique tourist destinations and products to the Philippine market in particular and the ASEAN market in general.
