Hue to host Visit Vietnam Year 2025

TTH.VN - Within the closing ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year - Dien Bien 2024 on the evening of December 22, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong and the leaders of Dien Bien Province handed over the flag to Thua Thien Hue Province to host the Visit Vietnam Year 2025.

The leader of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism has announced that following Dien Bien Province, Thua Thien Hue has been chosen by the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to host the Visit Vietnam Year - Hue 2025.

Under the theme “Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunity”, the activities and events will focus on four main program groups, including: Spring Festival themed “Spring of the Ancient Capital”; Summer Festival themed “The Citadel Shines”; Autumn Festival themed “Hue in Autumn”; and Winter Festival themed “Winter in Hue”. The opening ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year - Hue 2025 will take place on March 25, 2025, and the closing ceremony will be held at the end of December 2025. The Visit Vietnam Year - Hue 2025 program will feature nearly 160 events at national and provincial levels.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, emphasized that, in the context of Hue City being recognized as a centrally-governed city, the organization of the Visit Vietnam Year - Hue 2025 is of utmost importance in the process of building a sustainably developing Hue City on the foundation of preserving and promoting the values of the Ancient Capital and Hue's cultural identity, with its unique cultural, heritage, ecological, and landscape characteristics, as well as its eco-friendly and smart features.

This is also a typical cultural and tourism event, a national-scale one with international significance, for localities across the country to introduce and promote the beauty of traditional cultural values, resources, and unique tourism products of people and country of Vietnam. This event contributes to the development of tourism and stimulates the socio-economic development of Thua Thien Hue Province, as well as other localities nationwide in 2025 and the following years.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also invites delegates, people, domestic visitors and international friends to come to Hue and immerse in the series of activities and events of the Visit Vietnam Year - Hue 2025, so as to have many interesting and unique experiences about the land, along with the friendly and hospitable people of Hue.
