Hue beef noodle soup makes it onto the list of top 100 breakfasts in the world
TTH.VN - Three Vietnamese dishes, namely beef stew (bo kho), Hue beef noodle soup, or Hue breakfast noodle soup (bun bo Hue), and broken rice with grilled pork (com tam suon), have been included in the list of “Top 100 breakfasts in the world” by the international food magazine Taste Atlas.

Taste Atlas compiled this list based on diners’ reviews and experts’ opinions, with over 26,000 ratings.
The beef stew (bo kho) was ranked 23rd on the list, and was praised as a popular breakfast choice among Vietnamese people. The dish is often enjoyed with noodles or baguette with fresh herbs. It is made with common local ingredients such as diced beef, and carrots, etc., and simmered in a mildly spicy broth.
Notably, Hue beef noodle (bun bo Hue) was ranked 50th on the list. According to the description, authentic Hue beef noodle features a broth made from pork and beef bones, rice vermicelli, and sliced beef or crab balls.
The broken rice with grilled pork (com tam suon) was ranked 70th on the list. The dish is a popular breakfast in the Southern provinces.
According to this ranking list, the Turkish breakfast, Kahvalti, stays at top of the list of the 100 best breakfasts in the world. It is followed by Greek Bougatsa, Malaysian Roti Canai, and Mexican Chilaquiles, etc.
Previously, the world-renowned food website Taste Atlas released the “Best food cities in the world in 2023” list, honoring local cuisine of various destinations. Hue city was proudly ranked 28th among the cities with the delicious food in the world. Hue's cuisine was rated 4.56 out of 5 points by international experts and diners. The most famous dishes to be mentioned first include bun bo (beef noodle soup), banh bot loc (clear pork and shrimp dumplings), com hen (rice with mussels), nem lui (grilled pork skewer rolls), che (sweet soup), banh nam (flat steamed rice pies), banh phu the (lit. husband and wife cakes), and tom chua (sour shrimp sauce).
