Hue witnesses a surge in the number of inbound visitors by air and rail

TTH.VN - According to the latest data from the Department of Tourism on the afternoon of June 13, the number of visitors to Hue by air and rail soared during Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024.

 Visitors arrived in Hue by train

According to the leader of the Department of Tourism, data from Phu Bai International Airport showed that there were 224 flights arriving and departing from the airport from June 6 to 12 (including 112 flights arriving and 112 flights departing). There were 19,483 passengers arriving in Hue, and 18,672 passengers departing (38,155 passengers in total).

Data from Hue Railway Station from June 6 to 12 showed that there were 16 trains arriving and departing daily. In terms of passenger traffic, 11,142 passengers boarding and 12,145 passengers alighting (23,287 passengers in total). Particularly, 7,841 passengers boarding and alighting on the train connecting Central heritages between Hue and Da Nang during this period.

According to a representative of the Department of Tourism, the number of flights did not increase, but the number of passengers rose by nearly 20% (an increase of about 900 passengers per day) from the previous week. The number of train passengers alone increased by 18% from the previous week.
