Le Ba Dang Memory Space recognized as provincial tourist attraction

TTH.VN - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision to recognize Le Ba Dang Memory Space as a tourist destination of the province. The site has been known as a popular art space located in Kim Sơn village, Thuy Bang commune of Hue city, some 10km from the city center.

Le Ba Dang Memory Space is currently displaying works of the late artist Lê Bá Đảng with his distinct themes and styles, such as: oil paintings, watercolor paintings, ceramic and bronze works, carpet paintings, and artworks using steel fiber, wood, or synthetic materials…

This site is very accessible as it is located in the vicinity of other popular tourist attractions such as Khai Dinh tomb, The Statue of the Goddess of Mercy, or Hue Nam Palace. A souvenir shop is available at Le Ba Dang Memory Space and the site also provides 3 on-site English-speaking tour guides who present informative commentaries and lead guests around.

On the morning of July 28, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam”, funded by the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) - Norway (through the WWF - Vietnam), received by Hue City People's Committee, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized the inauguration of 5 waiting lounges and free water stations at tourist destinations, including: Thien Mu Pagoda, Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Ban Nguyet Bridge - Me Wharf, Vong Canh Hill, and Sinh Village wrestling area (Hue City).

VinIF Foundation suggested to continue restoring and training the art of Hue tuong mask painting

Hue Monuments Conservation Center recently had a working session with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Ha Duong, managing director of the Vingroup Innovation Foundation – VinIF, to discuss the implementation process of the project “Restoring, training and teaching Hue tuong mask painting art - a traditional art form at high risk of being lost”. The project is built by Hue Monuments Conservation Center and sponsored by the VinIF.
