Over 55,000 visitors to historical sites managed by Thua Thien Hue Museum of History

That was the number declared by the museum leaders at the 2025 Work Implementation Conference held on December 31 in Hue City.
In 2024, the museum successfully relocated over 32,000 artifacts, including two national treasures, from its former headquarters at Quoc Tu Giam historical site inside Hue Citadel to its new location at 268 Dien Bien Phu St., Hue City. Additionally, the museum collaborated with organizations within and beyond the province to host thematic exhibitions and displays commemorating major events and holidays.
Leaders of Thua Thien Hue Museum of History have set a target of attracting over 60,000 visitors for 2025. It also includes bolstering communication efforts to support political tasks, promote historical education, and collaborate with local agencies and schools to organize commemorative ceremonies, including the offering of incense and flowers, and thematic activities at the museum and its managed sites. Furthermore, the museum intends to develop and implement 4-6 mobile outreach programs, including storytelling, presentations using visual aids, and themed shows in schools across the province during major holidays.
Other key tasks for 2025 include preparing documents to request a special National Heritage designation for Phuoc Tich ancient village, implementing measures to prevent degradation, renovating and upgrading certain sites, as well as relocation and clearance at specific historical locations.
