Discussing the finalization of a smart city model for disease prevention and control
TTH.VN - At noon on November 28th, a delegation from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) had a working session with the Department of Health to discuss the implementation of the “Enhancing Efficiency in Disease Prevention and Control through a Smart City Model for 2025-2030” project.

The session included representatives from the Department of Preventive Medicine (Ministry of Health), the Center for Disease Control, and other relevant healthcare units.

The department's leaders proposed several recommendations, such as supporting and maintaining grassroots healthcare systems, enhancing training to improve data analysis and processing capabilities, providing advanced equipment as well as improving diagnostic testing capabilities, and establishing a shared database for the Ministry of Health and local authorities.
The KOICA delegation, along with South Korean health experts, provided insights to clarify project-related details. Within the bilateral cooperation framework, the South Korean government has pledged a non-refundable grant of $12 million for the “Enhancing Efficiency in Disease Prevention and Control through a Smart City Model for 2025-2030” project. This project will be implemented in five provinces, including Thua Thien Hue. Today’s session is an opportunity for the two sides to discuss and finalize the final stages to submit the documents for approval, expected to be implemented in March 2025.
