Leading experts from the Asia-Pacific region attend the Hypertension Summer School in Hue
TTH.VN - From July 16 to 18, the Vietnam Cardiology Association and the Vietnam Society of Cardiology, in collaboration with Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, organized the “Hypertension Summer School 2024” program.

The “Hypertension Summer School” is one of the activities of the Asia Pacific Society of Hypertension (APSH), proposed and implemented by Professor Trefor Morgan. This Summer School is held every two years in a member country. The first school was held in 2015 in Beijing, China.
This session held at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, featured 35 participants attending in person and 30 attendees as observers. The program included 15 volunteer lecturers from APSH, who are leaders of hypertension societies from member countries, representing 12 countries in the Asia region: India, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, the Philippines, Japan, Maldives, and Vietnam.

The program covered 26 key topics on hypertension diagnosis and treatment, ranging from basic to advanced, including the latest global advancements. Additionally, there were 9 scientific research presentations, clinical case reports, and 11 research results from participants.
The summer school aims to train and enhance the expertise of young leaders in hypertension. It also serves as an opportunity for leaders of hypertension societies in the Asia region to meet and exchange scientific cooperation with the common goal of reducing the burden of hypertension in the region.
Furthermore, the program helps update international guidelines and recommendations, thereby providing better orientation for national recommendations on hypertension.
