Maintaining and promoting cooperation with Chinese localities
TTH.VN - On the morning of September 16th, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a courtesy meeting with Ms. Dong Bich Du, Consul General of China in Da Nang City.

At the meeting, Consul General Dong Bich Du expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome from the province’s leadership. She also congratulated Thua Thien Hue on its socioeconomic achievements and progress in its goal to become a centrally-governed city.
Ms. Dong hoped that her visit would further enhance the relationship between the Chinese Consulate General and Thua Thien Hue, and contribute to further strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and China. She expressed her commitment to acting as a bridge to promote cooperation between Thua Thien Hue and Chinese businesses and investors, thus contributing to building and fostering the friendly and partnership between the two Parties, the two States and the two Peoples.
Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh shared his pleasure in welcoming Ms. Dong Bich Du to Thua Thien Hue. He mentioned that the province had previously sent delegations to Chinese localities to promote cooperative relationships with various Chinese localities.
Mr. Binh also hoped that, in her role as Consul General, Ms. Dong Bich Du would continue to support and cooperate to further promote cooperation between Vietnam and China in general, as well as between Thua Thien Hue and Chinese localities in particular. Specifically, he sought her assistance in realizing the cooperation activities outlined in the memorandums of understanding signed between Thua Thien Hue and Zhejiang province; in promoting cooperation between the city of Hue and Hue University with Chinese partners; and in enhancing external information dissemination, promoting the image, potential, and advantages of localities, as well as fostering cultural, educational, healthcare, and other cooperative exchanges in sectors where both sides have strengths.
