19 works won prizes at 11th Press Awards Granting of Thua Thien Hue province in 2018

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of June 19, the Management Board of the Press Awards - the provincial Journalists Association celebrated the 93rd anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and reviewed the 11th provincial Press Awards Granting in 2018. Attending the event were Mr. Bui Thanh Ha, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.

This year, the provincial Press Awards Council chose 48 works for evaluation. These were believed to boast concret and well-oriented contents; and depending on features of genres and subjects, the authors were assessed to have maximized the advantages of the specific features of each journalism genre.

As a result, in the final round, the Management Board selected 19 high-quality works for the awards, including 1 first prize, 4 second prizes, 7 third prizes and 7 consolation prizes.

Delivering his discourse at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dung praised and congratulated the awarded authors and author groups and expected the team of reporters in the area to strive and create works of best quality, as well as devote their time to more works in the genre of investigation for the next award granting.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association (VJA) presented "For Vietnam’s press career" medals to 6 VJA members. At the same time, 12 new members were admitted to the association.
