Representatives of the Organizing Committee presenting prizes to the contestants
This year's contest covers two categories. They are the School supplies and the Household tools and children's toys. Over a month, the Organizing Committee received 57 submitted models and products by 35 contestants and 22 groups of contestants, from 39 primary, secondary and high schools in seven districts, towns, and city within the province.
In general, the models and products submitted to this contest are quite diverse and highly applicable, which demonstrate the creative capacity and the passion for science of the students. Among them, some projects are elaborately invested, highly aesthetic and capable of commercialization.
The Organizing Committee and the Jury Board had viewed, scored and selected 24 excellent models and products, which met the evaluation criteria of novelty, creativity, product materials, aesthetics, effectiveness, as well as the applicability in real life, to be awarded.
Among them, the first prizes in the category of Household tools and children's toys belong to two products, which are the product of "Making paintings, night lamps, and candlesticks by sea shells" (Vinh Phu Primary School, Phu Vang District); and the product of “Developing Dong Ho folk paintings with pebbles” (Nguyen Khoa Dang Secondary School, Huong Tra Town).
In the remaining category of School supplies, there are three first prizes. They are the "Smart pen cases" (No. 1 Phu Bai Primary School, Huong Thuy Town); the "Multi-function electric circuits applied in teaching and learning Technology and Physics" (Quang Trung Secondary School, A Luoi District), and the "Multi-function pen cases" (Phu Loc High School, Phu Loc District).
