Enhancing journalism skills to report on APEC summit in 2017
It is the training content for local and national reporters in the Central - Highlands region in the workshop "Press reporting on APEC summit in 2017", held on July 20-21 by Media Operations Training Center - Vietnam Journalists Association in cooperation with the Da Nang Journalists Association in Da Nang city.
Various topics were introduced and discussed by experts and advisors from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, Vietnam Journalists Association, Vietnam News Agency, such as the history of development through APEC conferences; APEC’s role in the development of member countries; APEC’s impact on the world economy; difficulties and advantages for Vietnam’s economic development as joining APEC. The session also talked about the essential work of the journalists when reporting on a major international political event, especially the way to approach and interview leaders attending the 2017 APEC summit to obtain interesting news and stories.
Within the framework of the program, the journalists were also informed by representatives of Da Nang leaders about the preparation and propaganda of the APEC summit. They also visited to locales where the summit will be held in the coming November ...
