"By the O Lau River" is a collection of short prose by Phi Tan (a journalist at the provincial radio and television station) that has just been published by Chibooks and Lao Dong Publishing House.
The 57 essays in the collection reflect the author’s nostalgic feelings about the peaceful countryside by the O Lau River with the poetic village roads, and home-cooked meals. The book’s elaborate illustration is a special highlight with a series of paintings by artist Phan Vu Tuan.
“By the O Lau River” is part of Chibooks' Vietnamese Cultural Bookcase project, and is up for translation into Chinese and English.
