A high quality sand processing factory will be soon operated in Thua Thien Hue province
TTH.VN - On February 18th, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho visited the construction of the high quality low-iron quartz sand processing plant - Hue Premium Silica at Phong Hien commune, Phong Dien district.

Ms. Phuong Minh Hue - CEO of Viet Phuong Group, said that the Hue Premium Silica Factory would orient the development of Hue brand of low-iron sand products with high quality - a necessary condition to attract domestic and foreign investors develop silica industry. This would take the province's advantages not only to create jobs for local people but also contribute to the economic development of Thua Thien Hue province.
This is also the first factory in Vietnam which processes the low-iron sand and quartz powder with high quality using European technologies. Plant’s preliminary products will be provided to businesses producing ultra-white glass and solar battery glass in the country.
The factory has a total investment of about VND 850 billion with a capacity of 230,000 tons/year. The land use area of the project is 7.3ha at Phong Hien commune, Phong Dien district. Up to now, Viet Phuong Group has invested more than VND 400 billion, including the approved technology and equipment packages... and is expected to invest more than VND 440 billion for the operation of the plant in the first quarter of 2021.
After listening to the report and visiting the project, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho emphasized that this project had a special significance in the current period. It was a bright spot for the province’s industrial sector. The Chairman suggested the investor and constructors to accelerate the construction progress in the direction of both ensuring the safety and quality and protecting the surrounding landscape.
