The grand opening ceremony was attended by the Consul General of Japan in Da Nang - Mr. Mori Takero; and the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; and AEON MALL Vietnam.
From the province, there were Mr. Le Truong Luu, Party Central Committee member, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and provincial leaders, etc.
The AEON MALL Hue shopping center project was commenced at the beginning of 2023, with a total investment of nearly 4,000 billion VND on an area of approximately 8.6 hectares. To date, the shopping center has been completed and put into operation with 140 international and domestic stores, including 80 brands making their debut in Hue.
With the theme “Connecting cultures, bringing families together”, AEON MALL Hue brings the harmonious blend of Japanese and Hue cultural values, offering a convenient and modern experience. This is delicately integrated in many aspects, from product displays and decorations to the service style of AEON's staff.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that the launch of AEON MALL Hue was a significant event marking the efforts of Thua Thien Hue province in promoting, supporting, and accelerating the implementation of key projects, preparing infrastructure, ensuring the necessary facilities for a centrally-governed city. Besides, the inauguration and official operation of AEON MALL Hue shopping center is also one of the events that demonstrates the determination of the government, the companionship of businesses and people to continue to realize the goals of the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term, and the Resolution No. 54 of the Politburo on building Thua Thien Hue by 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Mr. Phan Quy Phuong expected the shopping center operate effectively, providing the best quality services to locals and visitors. He also hoped that it would continue to expand its investment and business in the coming time. Additionally, it is expected to be a bridge, introducing and attracting more investors, especially Japanese businesses, to invest in Thua Thien Hue.
“Thua Thien Hue commits to continue to cooperate, support, and accompany investors, creating the most favorable conditions for the shopping center to operate effectively, safely, and greenly - cleanly - brightly, creating new momentum in attracting visitors and spreading economic and social development in the locality,” emphasized Mr. Phuong.
At the ceremony, Mr. Mori Takero - Consul General of Japan in Da Nang also affirmed: “AEON MALL Hue is a project that promotes the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” between Vietnam and Japan in Central Vietnam.”
