Over 300 science, technology, and innovation products exhibited at Techfest

TTH.VN - On September 12th, at the Provincial Center for Culture and Art, the Department of Science and Technology (S&T) inaugurated an exhibition showcasing technological devices, science and technology products, innovations, and creative startup (CS) products, as well as key products from the North Central and Central Coastal regions.

 The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of the exhibition, featuring science and technology devices and innovative products from the region.

The exhibition is held over two days (September 12th and 13th) and includes more than 60 participating units, displaying over 300 products across 55 booths from various regional organizations and businesses.

This exhibition is part of the 2024 Regional Creative Startup Festival - Techfest, co-organized by the Provincial People’s Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The event aims to inspire entrepreneurship and foster a spirit of innovation throughout the North Central and Central Coastal regions. It also seeks to strengthen the creative startup ecosystem, promote collaboration, and showcase standout science and technology products and startups of the North Central and Central Coastal regions to the broader community.

Startup and innovation activities have played a vital role in boosting the number of enterprises, enhancing productivity and efficiency, and increasing the competitiveness of businesses in the North Central and Central Coastal regions. Thua Thien Hue, one of the first provinces to implement the Prime Minister’s Plan 844 (since 2016), has made significant progress in developing its creative startup ecosystem. The province has established policies and technical facilities to support startups.

After five years of implementation, the province has proactively issued the “Ancient Capital Startup”Plan for the 2021-2025 period, with a vision to the year 2030. This plan has been adjusted to align with the new circumstances and development goals of the province, contributing to Thua Thien Hue’s goal of becoming a major science and technology center in Vietnam. With a solid foundation and clear direction, Thua Thien Hue is well-positioned to foster and promote entrepreneurial and innovation activities. The province is honored to be one of only three localities nationwide recognized by VCCI for its active contributions to the startup ecosystem and awarded the title “Startup and Innovation Hub” by VINASA.
