Ho Duc Trung is awarded the Third-Class Labor Order by the President

TTH.VN - On the morning of December 28, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan had a meeting and commendation with the team of students who won prizes in the international Olympiad and Scientific and Technical Competitions 2024. Ho Duc Trung, an alumnus of Quoc Hoc Hue High school for the Gifted was awarded the Third-Class Labor Order for his achievement of winning the Silver Medal at the International Biology Olympiad.

The program which was held by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with the Office of the President aims to honor and commend the achievements of students in Olympiads and International Scientific and Technical Competitions in 2024.

In 2024, Vietnam sent 8 teams with 38 students to compete at international and regional Olympiads. Their achievements far surpassed previous years, with 12 Gold Medals, 15 Silver Medals, 10 Bronze Medals, and 1 Certificate of Merit earned.

The success at 2024 international and regional Olympiads was the clearest evidence to affirm Vietnam’s position in the region and all over the world. Besides that, this was also a testament to the remarkable progress in the key education in particular and general education in general.

Contributing to this achievement, Thua Thien Hue province had Ho Duc Trung, a 12th-grade student (2023 - 2024 academic year), Quoc Hoc Hue High school for the Gifted, who won the Silver Medal at the 2024 International Biology Olympiad held in Kazakhstan.

In the framework of the meeting, 20 students were awarded the Second-Class and the Third-Class Labor Orders of the President. In which, Ho Duc Trung was presented the Third-Class Labor Order.

At present, Ho Duc Trung is a student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.
