He emphasized that the province views science and technology as a driving force for local socio-economic development. Numerous institutions and policies have been refined to develop high-quality science and technology human resources, especially leading experts and scientists in priority fields. To promote research, transfer, and robust application of the Fourth Industrial Revolution's achievements across all aspects of social life, substantial investment and breakthrough policies are required to make science and technology a powerful and effective lever.

Vice President of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations Pham Ngoc Linh highlighted that the province is recognized as one of the leading intellectual hubs in the Central and Central Highlands regions and ranks third nationwide. The provine’s intellectual communities arepresent in nearly all fields of social life and hold key positions in the political system, state management, and various economic, technical, science and technology, and social sciences and humanities sectors.

Mr. Linh expressed his hope that in the future, the science and technology intellectual community and the honored intellectuals will continue to contribute significantly to scientific research and innovation, producing valuable research works that are applicable to real life and production.

Over eight years of celebrations, the province has honored 118 distinguished intellectuals, including reputable and high-quality scientists and experts. Notably, this includes 10 professors and one foreign expert. Thua Thien Hue is the only locality in the country that honors foreign scientists.
