TTH.VN - More than 1,000 traditional lanterns from royal to folk origins have gathered on the banks of the Huong River to create a sparkling and colorful space just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

On the afternoon of September 3, the space for displaying and arranging traditional lanterns organized by Hue Festival Center officially opened to visitors at the Hue City Center for Culture, Information, and Sports (23-25 Le Loi, Hue City).

Attending the ceremony were the Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh, representatives of departments and agencies, and a large number of people and tourists. This event is part of the series of ‘Autumn Festival activities’ of Hue Festival 2022.

Viewers coming to this space seem to be lost in a colorful childhood world with more than 1,000 traditional lanterns of all kinds, from Hue royal lanterns to traditional lanterns of craft villages in the ancient capital.

In this space, viewers can also enjoy the miniature Mid-Autumn Festival with the theme "Vietnamese traditional Mid-Autumn Night". There is the traditional Mid-Autumn festival tray, lanterns in the shape of animals for children, hundreds of samples of To He, animal breeds, etc., which have been restored methodically by researchers and artisans from many regions across the country.

Born and raised in Hai Duong commune (Hue City), Dao Nguyen Tai (born in 2002), a student of Applied Arts Department at University of Arts, Hue University, has quietly expressed his love for Hue through lines, colors, and images. Tai's passionate and creative paintings have contributed to spreading the beauty of the Ngu Mountain and Perfume River region.
