Planting trees to embellish Kim Phung Mountain

TTH.VN - On November 24, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh attended the ceremony on planting trees to embellish Kim Phung Mountain.

Here, provincial leaders, cadres, and public servants working in the field of agriculture planted various kinds of trees, including purple jacaranda, red flamboyant, Pterocarpus macrocarpus, Parasol tree, yellow flamboyant, and Crape myrtle.

This activity was held to create vibrant and colorful green parts with flowers and leaves along the route to the top of Kim Phung Mountain, contributing to transforming Kim Phung Mountain into an attractive tourist destination, combining with experiential tourism activities, step by step turning this area into a Kim Phung Mountain ecotourism area.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong said that Kim Phung is the “home” to many native species of flora and fauna. Therefore, planting trees on this area will help to improve the living environment, protect biodiversity, and preserve biosystem balance. At the same time, it marks an important milestone for a heritage urban that is ecological, scenic, and environmental-friendly.

Besides that, planting trees also contributing to turning this area into an ideal destination for tourists who are in love with nature.

“In addition to maintaining natural beauty, I hope that Kim Phung Mountain will continue to become greener with a new distinctive green space, embodying the harmony between humans and nature. It will be an ideal destination for tourists when visiting and traveling to Hue City,” said the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Kim Phung Mountain is a symbol carved on Chuong Dinh (Chuong Urn) placed in the Imperial Citadel. This is the highest mountain in Hue City with the height of about 424m.

In the coming time, Hue City will collaborate with units to build up an eco-route based on the old trail with many facilities such as rest stops; parking lot, etc., to serve tourists visiting Kim Phung Mountain.
