Granting decision to allow the operation of General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of June 6, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong granted the decision to allow the operation of General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, former Deputy Defence Minister, the son of General Nguyen Chi Thanh, and the representative of the General's family received the decision.

General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum is a non-public museum, which is located at 144 Dang Thai Than Street, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City. The museum operates in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 18/2010/TT-BVHTTDL dated December 31, 2010 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, providing for the organization and operation of the museum, as well as other regulations of relevant legislation.

Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong highly appreciated the efforts and urgency dedicated to the construction of the General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum. He also expressed his joy when there was one more non-public museum in the province, contributing to enriching tourist destinations, where is a place to educate revolutionary traditions and love for the motherland for young generations today and in the future.

Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong said that the province would continue to direct relevant units to support the museum in display work and professional guidance; connect with other museums in the province, forming a system of destinations to attract the locals and visitors to learn about the background and revolutionary career of General Nguyen Chi Thanh, associated with the culture, history and revolution of the homeland of Thua Thien Hue.

The museum is expected to open on the 55th anniversary of General Nguyen Chi Thanh's death (July 6, 1967 - July 6, 2022).
