“Người mẹ làng Sen” - The story of President Ho Chi Minh's youth
TTH.VN - On the 155th anniversary of the birthday of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - the mother of President Ho Chi Minh - and the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the People's Committee of Nghe An province, in coordination with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, organize a special show called “Người mẹ làng Sen” (“The mother in Lotus village”).

The show will take place at 8 p.m. on May 12, 2023, at Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh City, Nghe An province, and Song Huong Theater in Hue City. This is the first time a show about President Ho Chi Minh will be broadcast live on TV at both Nghe An and Hue, the two places that were closely associated with his youth before he left on his journey to find a way to save the country.

According to the director Quang Tu, the “Người mẹ Làng Sen” show will consist of three chapters: Từ cánh võng làng Sen (From the Hammock in Lotus Village - Chapter 1), Đóa sen thanh cao (The Noble Lotus - Chapter 2) and Rạng rỡ quê hương (Radiant Homeland - Chapter 3), with the participation of People's Artist Hong Luu; the singers Trong Tan, Le Minh Ngoc, Phuc Tiep, Khanh Ha; the Traditional Art Center of Nghe An province, the Army’s Zone 4 Culture and Art Troupe, Hue Theater, Hue Academy of Music,...
The show will tell the moving story of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, the mother of President Ho Chi Minh, a woman who devoted her whole life to her husband and children. In her, every virtue and quality of a traditional Vietnamese woman converge. The time that Uncle Ho spent in Hue, where his childhood memories were marked and his soul and intelligence were nurtured, will also be recreated.
On this occasion, the Thua Thien Hue Tourism Department has also launched the “Theo chân Bác Hồ thời niên thiếu ở Huế” (“Following Uncle Ho's footsteps in his youth in Hue”) package with four tour programs. Accordingly, the “Following Uncle Ho's footsteps in his youth in Hue” tour lasts for one day; the “Theo chân Bác Hồ thời đi học ở Huế” (“Following Uncle Ho's footsteps to school in Hue”) tour lasts for half a day; the “Khám phá làng Dương Nỗ” (“Discovering Duong No Village”) tour lasts for half a day; and the “Học trò xứ Huế” (“Hue's Pupil”) tour lasts for half a day.
