The competition was divided into 2 groups for Primary (6-11 years old) and Junior High School (12 – 15 years old). The preliminary round attracted the participation of over 400 students. Thereby, 50 works were selected for the final round. The organizing board will choose 15 superlative works to print on Ao dai for the performance at the awarding ceremony.

Furthermore, the participating works will be used to promote, display and perform in the events and activities held by the Provincial General Library, as well as being used in other fundraising activities to buy books for the bookshelves in remote areas with an aim to encourage and spread reading culture in the community.

According to the organizing committee, this is a fascinating activity to arouse children’s passion and creativity; expressing their ideas, talents, thoughts, and actions; thereby, spreading reading culture and sharing the love of country, homeland, as well as the love for Ao dai – a traditional costume of the Vietnamese nation.

Hue Ao Dai, a distinct feature

Ao Dai has become a cultural symbol for Vietnamese women in general. For the women of Hue in particular, Ao Dai is a source of pride because Hue Ao Dai has been firmly established in the hearts of the people. For Ao Dai to flourish and be honored, the support and promotion by our sisters, by the members of the Women's Union throughout the province, are essential.
