Nguyen Hue, 229 years ago (1788), chose the area of Mount Ban in the south of Phu Xuan citadel to build the esplanade to give offerings to the God and hold the coronation ceremony. He took the name of Quang Trung, then immediately launched a speedy military expedition and defeated the invaders of mighty Qing dynasty, setting the imperial citadel of Thang Long free in the Lunar New Year 1789.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the PCHC Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized, in the flow of the heroic history of the Vietnamese people, Thuan Hoa - Phu Xuan is the land that is associated with the Tay Son, a royal dynasty that made the glorious victories at the end of 18th century, in which the great merits first goes to the brilliant national hero Nguyen Hue - Quang Trung.
